How’d you get involved with the KO band?
After a previous band broke up, Kris and I were put in contact with each other by mutual friends and I agreed to help make his music SOUND and LOOK sexier.
How long have you been with the band? 5 years?
4 or 5 LONG years.
Why do you do it?
I love playing music, traveling, and meeting new people. The band allows me to do all these things with a group of my DOODS!
Are you playing with any other bands?
My other band is called Pacific Gold. I also have played/sang with bands like Ivan and Alyosha, Campfire Ok, Lemolo, Daniel Blue, Ok Sweetheart, etc.
What’s your day gig?
I am a Behavior Specialist, working one on one with students with special needs around the greater Seattle area.
Outside interests? Are you a dog lover?
I enjoy a tasty beer, a cheap matinee, and buying clothes that are too dark to wear after Memorial Day.
Tell us a memorable story from the road.
Jonathan. A bottle of Wine. Hotel bench. All night chat with an elderly woman in a Muumuu. The details are not as important.
What are you looking forward to the most with the band this coming year?
Being featured on as many teen dramas as possible.
You’ve lived in the greater Seattle area for years, any tips on a great watering hole?
I think Kings Hardware is cool... But avoid Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday through Monday, knock yourself out.
What kind of gear do you have for the live show?
A Yamaha motif, a keyboard stand, a sustain pedal, and clean socks.
Anything else you would like us to know about you?
I started talking at 9 months. I am ambidextrous. l'm secretly obsessed with Tyler Perry films. I used to have my nipples pierced. I am related to Sylvester Stallone, by marriage. I hate bananas. I am often accused of being emotionally cold and logical to a fault, but cry like a baby when I watch most films and television.
